Back issues of the printed editions are not considered part of a subscription order. However, available back copies can be purchased from the following address. Prices may vary, and the availability of an issue may differ according to consumer demand.

National Geographic regrets that free gifts are not automatically included with all membership/subscription orders.
If your subscription order included a free gift, please note that gifts are usually sent upon receipt of payment. Once payment has been received, your free gift will be shipped. Outside the US and Canada, please allow 8 - 12 weeks for delivery.

Collector's Listing/ Donating Back Issues
Where can I donate my collection of past issues of National Geographic magazine?
National Geographic does not accept back copies of National Geographic magazine. Therefore, you may wish to donate your back copies to your local schools, hospitals, and/or charities. We have a Collector's Corner on our website, which includes a dealer list and a Collector's Forum where you can post a notice regarding your collection.
Large Print
National Geographic does not publish National Geographic material in large print or any other special editions for the visually handicapped. However, materials published by National Geographic are regularly selected for reproduction in Braille or recorded form and are distributed through regional programs of the U.S. National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (lcweb.loc.gov/nls/).
Account Status
The Subscriptions & Orders Summary option on the Service Options menu lists your digital magazine subscriptions, expiration date and status for each. It also provides a quick glance at what subscriptions have expired or will soon expire and gives you the opportunity to conveniently renew online.
Account Settings provides details about your personal profile, such as your name and billing information, and gives you the opportunity to update such information.
Change of Address
You can update your address easily by signing in to your subscription account and clicking on “My Account” on the top left of the page.
Billing/Payment
You can make a payment online quickly and easily on our customer service website by signing into your subscription account and clicking the “Make a Payment” option from the Service Options menu. Or submit a payment by mail by referencing the mailing address information in the “Contacting National Geographic” section above. You may also make a payment over the phone by contacting customer service.
Renewals
Login to the customer care website and renew your subscription or gift subscriptions. Your renewal order will be added to the end of your current subscription. We will contact you well in advance of your subscription expiration date by email so that you will not miss any future issues. Renewal orders should be received at least 8 weeks prior to subscription expiration to ensure your issues will be delivered without an interruption in service.

Damaged Print Issues

To report a damaged print issue, you will need to login and submit your request through our Contact Us form here . If your issue frequently arrives damaged and your mailbox is sufficiently sized, then check with the post office to see if the magazine arrives in good condition. If it does not, then please contact us by e-mail using the form above. Replacement issues should arrive in 3-6 weeks.
Late or Missed Print Issues

If you have missed an issue, we may have an incorrect address on file. Please verify your address. Your magazines may also have stopped being delivered due to nonpayment. Please also check the payment status on your account. Any outstanding balance on your account will be listed on the page.Duplicate Subscriptions
